Due to my mom and dad(and probably sister) misspelling dining as dinning for years, and me having to correct it in file names, house descriptions and stuff like that, every time I see someone misspell it as dinning, I have to restrain myself from flipping my shit.

I can deal with other misspellings! But not dinning. It's dining! ONE N ONE ONE ARGH ONE! And the other secretaries at work don't notice or don't care when they're reposting stuff and I'm like, "How do you not notice? Correct it now!!" *freaks over a little mistake*

Yeah.

Dining. Okay?

DINING.

Haha, I used to try and then I was like 'eff this' cuz it wasn't a priority to me.

Well, we all know I can be really weird over little things. I can't keep myself from not changing it.

With file names in such, it doesn't bother me as much if it's not changed, but in internet postings spelling mistakes bother me, especially if it's dining.

Which ones were messed up? I don't remember seeing it too often in actual postings and not fixing it but I also don't go over the older ones with a fine-tooth comb.

I don't even remember man. I usually just skim them and correct them if I catch one. Dining just particularly stands out to me. Chances are I actually corrected a decent amount before you even worked there.

This rant wasn't actually directed towards a current posting, but rather in a blog that I read where they misspelled dining over and over the entire time.

Ooooooh. I've caught a few things and I know that sometimes I start to fix it but then never get back to it so the login pings out. Also, I know that I've fixed in Postlets but then I'm interrupted w/ CL.

Yeah, def seen it a lot in file names. I guess they think that's how it's spelled? Cuz I almost always see it in new photos (if labeled).

Yeah, I can see that happening. I'm pretty sure that's happened to me too.

It's because my mom thought that was how it was spelled, so my dad then did it the same way(or the other way around) and then Janet thought it was how it was spelled until I corrected her. It's not as bad anymore, but the older stuff are all spelled dinning(probably making it harder to catch). I don't know if my mom remembers the correct spelling or not.

Er, I mean, it was directed at my parent's internet postings where they keep in misspelling it, but was brought on by the blog. And I think Yogi recently put up a post where it was misspelled, but I corrected it later.

It doesn't happen that often(but each time IT'S LIKE A STABBING TO MY SOUL; AN AFFRONT TO MY EYES), but yeah, considering it's like a pet peeve of mine, I'm definitely more focused and pinpoint it more than you do.

OH MY GOD, THISSSSSSSSSSS.

At school, we had a cafeteria called the "Dining Hall" and the amount of time RAs would misspell it drove me BANANAS. I'd see flyers plastered all over the damn school, "LOCATION: DINNING HALL."

UGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!

(So, yeah, I totes understand, heeeee.)
